History Had Eyes is an independent historical documentary and research initiative dedicated to exploring the people, documents, and unanswered questions behind some of history's most enduring mysteries. Our mission is not to rewrite history, but to reexamine it through careful research, archival investigation, firsthand testimony, and thoughtful analysis.

Our inaugural documentary series, History Had Eyes: Nicholas Lived, investigates one of the most controversial questions of the twentieth century: Did Tsar Nicholas II of Russia truly perish in 1918, or did an Allied rescue mission secretly carry him out of Siberia? Drawing upon military records, diplomatic history, family testimony, forensic debates, and the remarkable account of American soldier Martin Van Buren Hutson, the series invites viewers to consider evidence that has received little public attention.
